Nope, it isn't a typo error! It's ICE SCREAM!
I believe all Nanyang Junior College students should be familiar with this little store, hidden near the bus stop at Serangoon Ave 2. In fact, my first visit to the store was introduced by a dear friend of mine - Wan Qi.
I thought it should require some "advertising", as I have seen many stores opening and closing, opening and closing. But I honestly hope this store stays till all my teeth falls!
Brownie Vanilla and Milo Dinosaur |
Shareen and I visited this place last night, and I thought I should share a sweet post with all of my readers for the very first post in July. Rather than lamenting on issues that cannot be solved.
So yes, we gave the waffle a try together with 2 scoops of ice-scream and it only cost us $7bucks! That is a real good deal I must say. So filing some more.
Brownie Vanilla: Sadly, the vanilla was placed together with the Durian flavour in the cooler and it had the taste/smell of it. Maybe I am more particular because it didn't really occur to Shareen, until I reminded her. But a rich vanilla texture should be present but sadly, wasn't in this case. But its probably because of the durian. You see, this is what happens when Durians come into the picture. So I kinda gave up on eating that flavour.
Milo Dinosaur: This was a lot more pleasant. it took me quite a while to realise, and to taste out the texture when I had one mouthful of it. I couldn't figure out the texture. It was... velvety, it was rich, and the texture reminded me of such ice-cream
Turkish Ice Cream |
Yes yes. But overall the texture was amazing I really have to complement this factor of the ice cream. Maybe because I am such a heavy chocolate lover, so I had expected a lot more with regards to the Milo. Richer taste for me. But it was good enough! (:
Waffle & Maple Syrup: It was kinda different to have my maple syrup served on a saucer, but that doesn't matter. The waffle was made on the spot, and it took less than 5minutes. Personally, udders waffle are one of the many best ice-cream waffles I have had in before. And over at Ice-scream, the waffle is buttery, and fluffy. Just right.
For just $7, I get to enjoy 2 flavours and 1 full-size waffle. There's nothing much to complain about isn't it?
Located at Serangoon Ave 2, Blk 301. You can get to this place by
taking a bus from nex, Serangoon Shopping Mall (Bus 109, and alight at
the very first stop).Ok, go figure.
xx
