[Product Reveiw] L'oreal base magique

How it feels like: It has a velvet texture, which you need to use your finger to dig out from the tiny bottle.

How much it cost: I grabbed the product when Guardian was having the "present your passion card" 25% off certain products. Original price was $23.90. I got it at $17!

What it really does: It helps to minimize the look of pores and fine lines, instantly smooth any imperfections.

Why did you purchase it: I was looking for a product that helps to minimize the pores around my T-zone plus my laniege make up base was finishing. So I needed to replace it with something that was easily accessible and do show results. Thus I went to google and all to search for one, and decided to try this.

Would you recommend this product to others?: It is definitely money well-spent. Though I do hope that they have a tool that can help consumers to scoop up the product instead of us using our bare hands? For the amount you pay, it is definitely worth it. It does show immediate results. I have been using it for the past few weeks, and I see no reason why I should discontinue using it. Unless I am being introduced to something else again.

Do give it a try! Watson's and Guardian are having GSS sale now, for an affordable product.. I'd say "Why not?"

Foreign delicacies, you like?

This post is going to be rather offensive and personal to a certain extent. But I believe there are many girls out there who would be agreeing with what I am about to tell everyone here. So if you are not ready for a totally sarcastic judgement and view on these "foreign delicacies", please stop reading from here onwards. And if you belong to that group, I apologise, because this is my very own opinion.

Readers like you, may have noticed that my relationship status has recently been changed. Well, that being that, I have a lot to say. But I wrote it all out on my more personal blog - twaddle@livejournal. You can hop over if you want. But read with a open heart. I try to keep it separated, so it wouldn't tarnish this blog.

Well, the inspiration behind this post has definitely got to be from what happened to me, personally. I am sorry, but this is just my prejudice against certain breeds out there.

Now, here comes my gun powder.

It is a noticeable trend that the amount of thai clubs/discos and pubs are highly increasing in Singapore. Yes, they are of a profitable business, in the long run as nightclubs like these never dies. Unless something else takes over.

Being a "once" party-goers myself, I have never stepped foot in any of these sleazy places, despite having friends who visit them rather regularly.  From what I have heard from both sexes, telling me what happens in the club, I am pretty surprised. It is as if we have a little "thailand" in our Singapore - multi-racial country.

Well, they sure have a certain level of entertainment. A chill place for friends to mingle and relax while watching performances of different kinds - singing, dancing and whatsnot. Drinks are definitely cheaper over at these "Thai" places and the girls there, I would say, a lot of a softer personality, less opinionated than us Singaporean girls (who like to sell ourselves up there).

Stereotyping - They are easy going and very friendly. The "Thai" attitude. They can talk to you about anything, because you will never know anything about the real them. So what do they have to lose when you are there crying your souls out or desperate for 11 minutes in heaven?

From what I have heard thus far, many of our youngsters, mainly boys from 18 - 25 (singles/attached) are constantly visiting these places, weekly, splurging on these girls. By buying a flower garland or buying them drinks so that these girls would go sit beside them and spend the "night" with them.

Well, "night" in this refers to either, the entire club opening hours "night" or... an after service. Usually at no cost, if the girl feel comfortable with the guy. I mean, its a mutual thing. But I know, guys they somehow just think with their dickheads (pardon my language) but seriously, are the girls that willing to get laid by these Singaporean men?

Do you really like sharing a girl with so many other guys? Please remember to bring your condom and wear it if you already had plans to be laid by girls from these sleazy clubs.

If you're guilty as charged, as you're reading this, then have you asked yourself, what difference does it make from visiting a prostitution? What difference does it set you apart from those "rich dirty pimps" that sits in a KTV/nightclub with hostesses? Definitely monetary wise, you will be able to save a whole lot. But.. seriously, what else is different from them?

Well, for a start, maybe you will be tainted as the "young, poor, horny" dude that goes to thai club. I'm not saying all of you, but there must be a handful of boys who visit, just to get laid at the end of the night.

I give the thai hostesses here the benefit of doubt that they are nice people, but don't you forget, a girl has two side. They bring you to heaven, and can drop you back on earth, or drag you to hell. Don't be too naive by their deceiving smile and companionship.  When they suck your money, you see who cries.

If the friendship turns into a relationship, then I would congratulate you, and the government, cause we will have 1 more person becoming a PR, increasing our population. But, really? With our inflation rate and housing property rates, you think you can survive by living off your parents?

Be careful of shot gun marriages. Condoms and contraceptive pills are highly recommended (from me).

I know of course not all girls who comes from foreign land, act like the girls that work there, and maybe some who work there, are local residents. But, seriously, you call this foreign talent? Talent in what? Bed skills?

Are Singaporean girls really that difficult to talk to? I am not? At least, that is a proven fact isn't it! (HINTS: WEEKEND DUDE)

The Singapore scene is turning into such disastrous state.

So what Singaporean men are we left with? What happened to true love?  Now do you know why, all Singaporean ladies have given up hope in finding a local men? Just look at our younger generation.

pfft. Hold on tight to your boyfriends/fiancé and husband my dear ladies out there. You never know when a guy will fall for a vixen.

Hopefully, this entry got some of you back in reality for that split second.

[Product Review] Hada Labo - one drop locks up an ocean

So a few months ago, I participated in this contest, whereby I was suppose to dedicate my love to the person I love and I was selected as one of the 10 winners among 65 participants to win 3 products of my choice.

Click on the picture for better view

I was a previous user of Hada Labo as well, I used the hydrating range - Hada Labo Super Hyaluronic Acid Hydrating Lotion & Milk. But my skin wasn't in the "very good" condition when I was using . Thus, I ended up with a lot more clogged pores and zit all over the face. But this was all because the hydration effects were just too strong for my skin.

But that didn't make me lose my confidence with the brand. It may not suit me, but it may suit you. Just like how it may suit my boyfriend.

So who better than let my boyfriend try the products himself right?  So as mentioned in the picture above, I've got a..

Hada Labo Facial Mist
For myself, I have been using the facial mist once in a while, when I feel extremely lazy to use the moisturising products that I've gotten from AstaLift. So I do about 2 - 3 Sprays, 15cm away from my face after my wash, then pat all over my face.

Like the other day, before we headed out to Margarita's, I sprayed twice on my boyfriend's face to give his face a little water to feed on! (:

It is extremely convenient and easy to use! It doesn't leave such a sticky residue or feeling after application, unlike the lotion that they have. I am so bringing it to Bangkok with me! I heard the weather is insane right now! Still, the product deserves a Thumbs up!

AHA/BHA Exofoliating foamy wash
We have yet to try the texture of the Foamy Wash. But I'm a sucker for things that are just convenient and easier for all to use every day! Just pump and TADAH! foamy foamy wash on your palm! No need to spend time lather-ing already! (:

Hada Labo Sha Hydrating Mask 4's
So before he took off to thailand, he gave the mask a try...

See he so happy!
It was his first time doing a paper face mask!
See how Moisturising it was?
Shiny shiny face. (:
Overall, the mask wasn't that bad. But the boyfriend wasn't used to the sticky feeling that most mask gives after the application, so I asked him to tahan (tolerate) for the next 30 minutes, so that the face gets what it needs, and then right after the clock hit 30 minutes, that boy went to wash off every single essence from the mask.

Sigh, 真浪费! Then again, nevermind lah. free one.

So if you are someone who has dry skin and always travel around (air stewardess/steward/pilots/super business people), then I suggest that for an affordable, promising and moisturising product, choose Hada Labo.

[Food Review] Margarita's

Margarita's @ 108 Faber Drive
Pork sausages that tasted a lot like "lup cheong" (chinese sausage)
Portobello Mushroom - not nice!
The Strawberry Margarita was 100% better than the one at Serenity Spanish Bar & Restaurant
Tacos with my favourite Jalepenos!
The Steak with pumpkin sauce that tasted a wee bit spicy!
Chicken Breast in some spicy sauce - tasted really good, this was what I had that night.
Fried Battered Fish (:
It was my first time visiting the restaurant. The ambience was cosy and nice to gather with a few friends over the weekends. But I suppose, you would need to have your own transport in order to enjoy the food above. They do have other branches at
  • 11 Dempsey Road, #01-19 Tanglin Village
  • 404 East Coast Road
  • 108 Faber Dr (the one I visited)
Overall the food served was rather authentic, for the amount of mexican food that I have eaten in my life. I do really like my main dish - the chicken. But it was a little bit overcooked, cause the meat were no longer tender. Oh! and if you intend to visit them, PLEASE DO order the Margarita! I recommend strawberry over lime and peach! (:

My very first Twelve Cupcakes.
After finishing my last semester project on Twelve Cupcakes, I had always wanted to give their cupcakes a try, I mean, it would make a lot of sense. So since we were buying these cupcakes, I finally got the chance to try them! Sadly, I only tried the Red Velvet Cupcake, which tasted awesome. The cheese cream was just right, not too cheesy, the cupcakes were equally fluffy! and 2 dozen of assorted cupcakes cost us $66!

Anyways, it was one of my friend's birthday, so Happy Belated Birthday Daniel!

There were two cameras, no three.

With lots of <3

(Visit Trip) Junction 10!

And so I heard that there was a new mall opened recently, located at the junction between Woodlands Road and Choa Chu Kang Road. So we decided to make a trip down to check it out to see what is installed for us.

The mall directory
See how low the ceilings are?
The promotion held
Yomenya Goemon
Roast Duck Pizza - Incredibly awesome pizza. Crispy on the side, soft on the inside accompanied with well-roasted duck meat! 4 thumbs up!
Seafood Pasta. The seafood pizza tasted a bit funny, it was like non-spicy laksa flavour, maybe because of the shrimp or maybe just the crab meat that's creating that similar taste.
Meatball Pasta - this was super awesome again. it had like roasted garlic in it, and it taste so gooooooddd!
The bill, it only came up to $45.79. Rather surprised cause we were both filled.
So what do I think of the mall?

THE MALL IS TRYING SO HARD, AND SO BLOODY BORING

I mean I'm sorry, but there was NOTHING there, mostly occupied by Giant, and food outlets, I remember seeing Watson's and Guardian there as well, and there was no shopping to be done, unless you want to get your clothes from Giant, worse than heartland mall @ Kovan. pfffffft.

One thing that really frustrated me was the fact that there was no ATM machine at all. We were told by the customer service that the nearest was at the market nearby or something along that line and my immediate reaction was...

YOU SURE YOU A SHOPPING MALL?

Even a few steps away from my block, I have 3 ATMs leh!

Ok, happy thoughts. Monster will be home in 18 days. (:

Oh, and just on Monday Night, at about 3-4am, my brother found a Golden Retriever, who has found its owners already. But I'm having a lot of anger now, with regards to that incident. I never once understood why owners will allow or not bother about their dog's safety, especially when they have ran out of the house before. Seriously, your dog is angry with you. There must be something you have done wrong.

Should have just kept the dog and give it to someone who would show more love than you guys. What's the point of living in a landed property and driving big fancy cars when you can't even handle a dog.

Yuckie poos.
