Last thursday, I celebrated my 1 year 1 month and 3 days anniversary with Ms Juvena Chia. Our friendship comes through this blog. And if it wasn't for the Maybelline event that was held last year 25th February, I would never have met this lady who is so much younger than me, and forever making me feel like I'm some old sister. (Ok, but I'm very sure she agrees I don't act like one lah, 70% of the time I am on the funny side)

Reservations were made, as I would have expected more turnout, giving that the following day was a public holiday. But nope, no queues when we were there at about 7.15pm on a Thursday evening. The menu had a great variety, from your standard thai dishes of tom yum goong (soup) to standard western dishes and delightful cakes and coffee offerings as well.

Reviews:
The Hot Chocolate was DA BEST I have ever had. Seriously! It is a whole good wholesome of generous Cocoa Powder with nicely semi-melted Marshmallows! Extremely delicious for me. I would definitely choose this as a to-go, or even a good afternoon tea catch-up with a close friend! The texture of the drink was just right for me! Extremely pleased for the amount I paid. Beats all the local or even "famous" coffee houses hot chocolate!

I had the Pad-Thai that night. I'm never a huge fan of thai food, and am very selective to thai food especially their noodles. I have had really awful tasting ones where the noodle is either extremely sticky to one another or too oily. But this was just right. Would have appreciated if it was a little bit spicier. But the spicy level is suited to the public at large. So if you're like me, just request for chilli powder for that extra kick! (:

The highly raved Mushroom Soup (soup of the day on the menu) however was the biggest disappointment to me. The only highlight was the fact that it had really good croutons to go with it. The croutons really brought out the taste of the mushroom.

The Pandan Chicken meat texture was just nice for me. It wasn't overcooked but just right (personal preference I like to have my meat in a harder form than too soft, I prefer the breast meat to the ribs or thighs.) Along with the meat wrapped in pandan leaves, were sauces of chilli and sweet sauce. I am very sure they did drizzle a little lime/lemon in the sauce to rid off any oily after-taste.
