In just 4 more days, my boyfriend will be setting off for a journey to Brunei to train the cadets. Who I heard will be killing quails and waddle through the dark woods. Sounds tough? I BET.
Well, my boyfriend is what the ARMY terms as "regular" who trains the new batches of infantry offices. Consider "suey" (unlucky) or what, all I know is that infantry cadets/officers (&whoever) would have to be the one at the front, tanking all the bullets from the enemies, the one shooting the enemies, the ones running around, the ones doing practically almost everything. I mean, if you compare with navy or airforce, they just drive their vehicle and shoot shoot shoot. So much easier right? -.-.
Ok, I give it to them, there must be some complexity among the job that they do, that the government is paying them SO MUCH MORE than employees like me. Sighs. Well, probably cause they would have to risk their life for the job that they hold.
But...
Dear Army,
Do you know, that because of the schedule that you have set for our boys, GIRLS/LADIES would have to compromise their schedule (willingly) because WE WANT TO SPEND TIME WITH THEM? Sometimes, we end up losing our friends because they think that all we care about is spending time with our partners.
Additionally, it is miserable because we girls end up have to pay for the meal. Yes, all about equality, but have you spared a thought about those younger ones who study full-time? How they afford?
Look, the thing is, they(boys) only get to come out on weekends. The cool thing is only when all your friends are dating boyfriends who are still serving the nation and only available on weekends, that YOU (girls) get to meet your friends on weekdays. Then on weekend, ZOOM, no one at sight.
But you know how pathetic this is for SINGLETONS? #foreveralone.
Ah well, life is nothing but a whole lot of contradiction - or maybe just women.
xx
